One Month Check Up

I took Jax to the pediatrician yesterday for his one month appointment. I was thinking that he probably weighed at least 10 pounds and might have grown an inch or so, boy was I wrong. Our little man weighs 11 pounds 7 1/2 ounces and is 23 inches long! That's right, he's gained 3 pounds and 3 inches since he was born. He's in the 90% percentile for his weight and 91% percentile for his length... I'm thinking we might have a football player instead of a soccer player! Dr. Mac also said that with his broad shoulders he probably won't be rolling over very soon.

The Isabel Show...

I was feeding Jax last night when I heard Izzy crying. I kept calling for her to come to me, but nothing... I went into to Jax's room and found his car seat tipped over on her... but, I couldn't figure out why she just didn't crawl out or lift it off... she had herself strapped in!! I thought about tipping her back over to take a picture but decided to just leave her strapped in.

Our Daughter

I have 2 hilarious stories that I just have to share about our beautiful and hysterical little girl...
All of you nursing mother's who had an older child while nursing can appreciate this first story. Obviously I can't let Isabel roam around the house while I'm feeding Jax so I have to lock her in the room with me. One night while I was feeding Jax I looked up to see Izzy lifting up her shirt and placing her baby on her chest to feed it! After I laughed I started to worry that I have perhaps permanently scarred my oldest child!

While updating the blog today I went to check on Isabel who is refusing to take her nap. I have put her back in her bed a million times this afternoon and she keeps getting out, but I am determined to persevere. So, I went to make sure that she hadn't completely destroyed her room and hoped that she might actually be asleep... I opened the door only to find her standing in front of me with her diaper off and her winter snow hat on her head. If only I had the camera...

The Ferbezar's Come For A Visit...

We had the entire Ferbezar clan over for a visit last night... all SIX of them! WHEW, what a visit! Izzy had an amazing time having her big cousins play with her. She even cuddled up on Evan's lap for a bit. Jax got lucky and was passed around to everyone! There was one TREMENDOUS downfall to their visit however... they brought the" Jayhawk" into our "TIGER" home!! Izzy and Jax say thank you for the cup and basketball. I'm going to Tiger Town at the mall over the weekend to buy Mizzou memorbilia!

One Month Old on St. Patrick's Day!

SERIOUSLY... he's already a month old! I can't believe how quickly the past month has gone by, perhaps it has something to do with sleep deprivation. Hector says that Jaxon is changing every day... I suppose that I don't notice it as much because I am with him all of the time. I'm not sure what his current weight is but I'm guessing somewhere around 10 pounds. He's definitely an avid eater and has an internal alarm clock, he's awake every 3 hours throughout the night. Despite his lack of tummy time, I'm afraid his sister with trample him, his little neck and back are growing stronger every day. He's started to stay awake longer throughout the day and seems to know right when Isabel goes to sleep... then it's his private time with mom or dad. We finally moved him to his crib on his one month birthday. We were terrible parents and allowed him to sleep in our bed, it was the only way he would sleep without making noises! But, moving him to his room has helped muffle his grunting and I can still hear him when it's time to eat!

Everyone told me that I had better watch out with this one because Isabel was such a good baby which could only mean that he would be the opposite... as of right now he has been just as easy as she was! Thank goodness!

Izzy Playing In The Park

St. Patrick's Day was such a gorgeous day that I decided to take the kids to the park and have a picnic... Isabel was lucky and got to have a playdate with her cousin Jacob and NaNa. She absolutely loves to slide. As a matter of fact, with the exception of running, pretty much the only thing she does is slide! She had such a good time and was crying "Night, Night" when we got home!

Jaxon's First Trip To The Park...

It seems so strange to be writing about another child's first's. It was just yesterday that we were chronicling all of Isabel's firsts! And now Izzy gets to be a part of all of Jax's first... I hope that they will both appreciate this gift.

Breakfast at Mimi's Cafe...

We finally decided to take the two kids out for a meal. Jaxon was perfect and slept through the entire breakfast which meant I got to eat peacefully. Isabel, the mover and shaker, could barely sit down. But, Hector managed to get her to eat and he got a few bites himself.

The THREE Amigos...

Of course the first picture I get of Hector with the kids his shirt is off... sorry everyone! This was the first morning we were getting ready to go to breakfast with our TWO kids.

Just Chillin in the Bouncer

Izzy and I were baking cookies and Jaxon needed to be part of the action.

The floor... Really?

Occasionally Izzy will just lay anywhere with "KIKI" and try to take a nap. It must have been a rough day.

Snoozing

For some reason Jaxon will sleep soundly in his bassinet all day long... but, as soon as it is time to sleep at night he has to be held. He is such a cuddler!

Jax's First Bath

Apparently the poor guy does not enjoy baths as much as his big sister. As soon as the wet washcloth touched him he started screaming... hopefully he'll enjoy the pool more!
