Ready to hit the town

We got home tonight and Isabel didn't want to get out of the car. So, I went ahead and got Jaxon out and all of our gear... this is what I found when I got back...

ThReE MoNtHs!

I started thinking the other day that it wasn't until Izzy was 3 months old that I went back to work. I feel as if I've missed out on so much with Jax with going back to work so soon and having Izzy to chase! He's such a sweetie.

Jax is definitely a healthy little man... he just keeps growing and growing! He's finally sleeping through the night which is AWESOME. He has started smiling and laughing more which is absolutely adorable. He was eating the other morning and he just started laughing... I'm not sure what was so amusing but it was awfully cute.

Seriously... The Floor?

So, for the past 6 months we have been battling bedtime and disagreeing about how to handle it. What's a good bedtime? Should we let her fall asleep in our bed? Should we lie down with her until she falls asleep? How long do you let her cry? How many times do you put her back in bed before you cave? These are things that we've asked ourselves since Isabel has had her "big girl" bed. As of now, I officially hate bedtime!
This picture is how I found Isabel Monday morning... not sure how long she slept there!

Isabel's Birthday Party

The weather wasn't as warm as we would have liked but at least there was no rain. Thank you to those of you who helped celebrate Isabel and who helped at the party.

Isabel Grace is TWO!

The entire week of Isabel's birthday I was so weepy. I could barely look at her and Jaxon without wanting to cry... my heart was just so full of love for them. I know, it sounds cheesy! Being a parent makes you learn the meaning of unconditional love. I can't imagine my life without my two blessings.

Isabel has changed so much in the past year and continues to be the source of so much laughter in our home. Everyday it seems as if she has accomplished something new or has learned a new word. She says so many words and phrases that I can't even think of them all... the new ones for this past week were: stop it, go away, and happy birthday! She's also a huge helper. She can bring me diapers and wipes, throw trash away, put her shoes in her room, and her dirty clothes in the hamper.

I could go on and on about all of the adorable things she says and does or how much we love her...

Jaxon's Baby Dedication

Jaxon is such a cute boy that no one else wanted to have their baby dedicated with him... ok, so everyone else was done in the early service! Jax's dedication was especially perfect because they had all of our family come before the church. Jaxon had 2 sets of grandparents, great- grandparents, aunts and uncles, cousins, and a great- great aunt. How special is that? Thank you so much to everyone who came and who showed their love for our little man. With every passing day my heart grows bigger and I learn the power of love a little more... what a gift.

TwO MoNtH ChEcKuP!

Our little guy isn't so little anymore. Mr. Jax weighed 13 pound 12 ounces at his 2 month checkup and was 24 inches long! I can hardly believe how fast he is growing. His height ad weight put him in the 90th percentile for other babies his age. He's definitely not lacking in the meal department.
