GRAIN VALLEY HOLIDAY LIGHTING

there are so many perks to small town living, and the holiday season is just one of them. each year our small town hosts a holiday lighting event, complete with: caroling, santa and mrs. claus, an outdoor movie, cookies and hot cocoa, the grinch, frosty, and an adorable holiday house. this week we were able to kick off the holiday season with this special lighting ceremony.

SHE'S ON FIRE

this little nugget has more personality than all 3 of our Lopez mini's combined. she is constantly amazing me with her all of her spunk and enthusiasm.

VALLEY CAMPUS

this sunday we were able to experience our first worship at the valley campus, which also happened to be at Isabel and Jaxon's school. it was so cool to see the amazing transformation that the school underwent and the mini's had a great time worshiping.

HOT COCOA STATION

it's official, the hot cocoa station is out and being used almost nightly. we had a holiday kick off on saturday night watching "north pole," sipping hot cocoa, munching on popcorn, and some chocolate follow goodness. i wish i could say that we all snuggled by the fire and had a relaxing evening. but, that's not how it works with the mini's!

we quickly heard :
I spilled my hot cocoa!
I need a paper towel!
I spilled the popcorn!
I got chocolate all over me!
Violet, move… Violet, sit down… Violet, leave me alone!

thank goodness for a blanket to catch the spills and vino to aide in relaxing.

MY HUSBAND IS BETTER THAN YOURS

after an eventful morning and afternoon at school, i was finally able to warm up my lunch. as i opened my lunch box i saw a gigantic bag of pumpkin marshmallows, which i clearly did not pack… when i dug deeper, i found my very own lunchbox note. nothing like a little love from the hubs to brighten my day.

Retro Night at the Theatre

we got to participate in our very first retro movie night at the the movie theatre and it was "The Goonies!" I have loved this movie since i was a kid and was so excited to take the mini's to experience it on the big screen. it was a fun evening, even if we were on the 2nd row.
