My Worst Mommy Moment...
After a week of agonizing debate we finally came to the conclusion that it would be best for Mocha if we found him a new family. He was such a sweet puppy but we just didn't have the time and energy to meet his needs. Even after finding a family that wanted to come and look we both started to change our minds... in the end we focused on thinking about Mocha and not ourselves. Hector conveniently was at work when the family arrived so I had to fly solo. In no way was I prepared for Isabel's reaction... I had planned on her being in her room but the family was 30 minutes late and she was eating dinner. Hindsight tells me I should have made sure she didn't watch him leave, but I had no idea. As they were walking out the door she was screaming and crying " Mocha, Mocha!" My heart broke that night. Holding my baby girl while she cried over a loss she didn't understand. It made me think back to my own mom and all of the times she held me... crying over the loss of Tinkerbell, crying over an ended relationship, the loss of a win, the disappointment of a situation. My mom held me countless times for countless reasons... how many times did her heart break for me? Thank you mom.

Crown Center
While Abby was visiting we decided to finally take a trip to Crown Center. Our first stop was lunch at Fritz's. Isabel loved watching the "choo, choo's." I'm almost positive that my Aunt Karen used to take me to this restaurant, but it was near her first house... maybe it's a phantom memory?
After burger's at Fritz's we headed to the LEGO display. Jax and I hung out in the area so he could eat but I hear that it was pretty neat.
Our last stop was the fountains. Isabel had a blast getting sprayed and even played when it started to rain. What a fun day.
Jax is FIVE months old!
Our little man is changing daily and growing stronger and stronger! Over the past month he has started eating cereal, carrots, peas, and sweet potatoes... but, he still loves his fresh homemade milk. Jax is starting to sit up better and is constantly kicking his legs trying to crawl. This month he's visited the zoo, the Deanna Rose Farmstead, Crown Center, and the Family Fun Fest at the Power and Light District. Can't wait to see what he weighs at his next appointment.

Princess Panty Diaries... Day 4
It's 11:30 and we're still wearing our first panties of the day... "Aurora!" But, we also haven't pottied in the potty yet... it's only a matter of time. Where will she potty next?

Princess Panty Diaries... Day 2
8:15... pottied in the basement
8:18... mommy set the timer for one hour( that's a reasonable time since Isabel just went potty)
8:30... pottied in the bedroom
Princess Panty Diaries... Day 1
Since my summer has officially begun we decided to start the arduous task of potty training... Lord give me patience! Today we went through 3 pairs of panties and shorts. Isabel pottied in the kitchen, the entryway, and our room. Notice that she did not potty in the restroom in her toilet.

Bug Hunting
I decided to make Isabel a mini explorers kit so that she can explore the outdoors... she has a bucket, homemade binoculars, tweezers, shovel, magnifying glass, and a jar.
We went on a nature hike and daddy did most of the bug catching. He even found a baby toad!
When we got home we turned out the lights and sat in the tent with the lightening bugs and other creatures.
July Bike Parade
Every year our subdivision hosts a bike parade close to the Fourth of July. As usual I forgot all about it until about 10 minutes beforehand. So, we got the kids in strollers and headed down to watch. We ended joining the very end of it and walked to the pool for posicles. Isabel wasn't too interested in the popsicle at first since it was color of those darn Jayhawks... but after some coaxing to eat the "Hawk" she loved it!
As usual Jaxon hung out in the stroller like a perfect little man. Next year he'll be eating popsicles with his big sister.
A visit to the Great-Grandparents
The best part came for me as we were driving down the street and Isabel started saying "Bye Grampa, I wuv woo..." about 3 times! So sweet.
