Farm Day

today was Isabel's very first spirit day at school... it was dress like a farmer day! we're definitely going to have to do better next time, especially considering our roots.

isabel started her very first day of pre-k at new trails in ray town. it is so hard to believe that this time next year she will be in kindergarten... where have the past four years gone? on her very first day of school she helped another little girl come into class by speaking in spanish to her, it was adorable. by thursday she was telling me different sets of rhyming families and asking me questions about the pictures in her book. it was AMAZING!

Johnson Farms

we had our first trip to the pumpkin patch this fall at johnson farms. if you haven't been to this pumpkin patch, you have to go for a visit! we had yummy turkey legs, delicious corn on the cob, rode the ponies, saw the newborn piglets, and most importantly explored the patch for the perfect calabasas! jax loved riding in the wheelbarrow while isabel helped daddy search for unusual pumpkins. i do think we need to visit one more patch this fall when it's cooler.

Time Capsule for 3.0...

We will be hosting a time capsule luncheon for 3.0 on September 25th at 1:00... please bring an item to place in the time capsule and we will share our items!

3.0

we had a little scare yesterday and had an unexpected trip to the doctor's office. the fun part of the day was that we got a sneak peek at 3.0 a few days early ( we have a scheduled appointment next week). the sonographer was able to tell us that 3.0 is "frank breech" which means head up and legs straight up to the body, turn baby turn!! we also got to see the baby breathing several times and 3.0 was moving around like a crazy person... lastly we learned that 3.0 is weighing 3 pounds 12 ounces which puts he/she in the 77th percentile! last night hector shared that for a minute he thought that the baby was for sure a boy and then felt guilty that he knew and i didn't. turned out what he thought was a penis was actually the umbilical cord.

me: we can talk about that later.

isabel: moooooommmmm, where do babies come out?

me: well, they come out from down here.

isabel: from where you poop or pee?

me: not from where you poop.

isabel: whaaaaaatttttt???

Disappearing Pictures

i had several pictures to share of last week and they magically disappeared from my memory card:-( we had pics of the kids doing their jobs and a family game night... i need to take some pictures of our last few days at home.
