Where Are the Keys??

For at least 3 days Hector and I were looking for his only set of keys to the van. I was going crazy because I remembered seeing them in Izzy's playroom but they weren't in any of the logical places I would have put them. What did I do with them??

Fourth of July...

We had a fun 4th of July at NaNa and PaPa's this year! My cousin Pake was even there and we got to hang out for a little bit. I'm not sure how well I liked him sitting on my daddy's lap though. That night we went home to watch the fireworks in our cul-de-sac. I wasn't even afraid of all the loud noises... I actually enjoyed it! I threw my hands up in the air and watched the fireworks go off.
Take a look at our family picture from last year... what a change!

Swim Lessons...

Tonight I had my very first swim lesson with Rita. Rita is the mom of one of my mommy's oldest friends... how cool is that! Tonight we went to Rita's house and I got started. I'm really used to the pool in our subdivision where I can walk around in the baby pool. My feet couldn't even touch the bottom at Rita's pool. But, after I got used to it I had a good time. My favorite part was jumping off the side of the pool and mommy catching me. I can't wait for my next swim lesson on Thursday.

Chucky Cheese!

I got to go to Chucky Cheese today... I'm still not totally sure what that is though. A student in mommy's class, Janelle, invited me to celebrate her birthday. Janelle took me around to the games and even let me use her tokens! And, I got to eat cheese pizza for the first time... Happy Birthday Janelle!

The Worst Parenting Day EVER!!!

I had my first true experience with wanting to take my child's pain. She's of course fallen and gotten shots but nothing like today. Isabel was going up the steps (she'd only made it up 2 steps) from the basement and I was right there... I turned for a second to close the garage doors and the next thing I knew she was at the bottom of the steps. Face down. She was screaming of course and my heart was literally breaking. Not to mention I was petrified that she might have a concussion or worse a brain injury. It didn't take long for my tears to come. I felt so terrible. With the advice of my mom I made Isabel stay up for the next 2 hours for fear she would never wake up!

I just went and woke her up a few minutes ago just to make sure she would wake up... am I completely neurotic?

That image of my little baby on the bottom of the steps is imprinted in my mind. I still feel terrible.

Praise the Lord our sweet baby is as perfect as ever... with the exception of a nasty bruise!

Gymboree!

Today I went to my first Gymboree class. I really wasn't sure what to expect. And then I saw it... an entire tub full of balls! My mission at class was to see how many balls I could carry and still play on the toys. Let me tell you, it was a bit challenging at times. I go to go down the slides, climb through tunnels, play with a parachute, ride in the rowboat, go back and forth in the canoe, and climb. It was so much fun. Mommy says we're going to go back next week!
