oh yeah!

we had an extremely lazy fourth of july at home this year, which was somewhat relaxing. the kids and i headed to the pool first thing in the morning and got a yummy popsicle. it was then home for naps and to wait for daddy to get home from work. he marinated some delicious meat and grilled it for us... we're so lucky to have such a talented daddy! later that night we shot off our fireworks and the kids loved it. we were the only people out in the culdesac so it was truly just the four of us. all mommy could think about was at this time next year we will be watching the fireworks from the magic kingdom!

baby number 3

baby number 3 had his/her first photo shoot! since finding out we were pregnant we knew that we didn't want to find out the sex of this baby... but, when we walked into the room for the sonogram i had a fleeting moment of doubt! as she was rolling over the baby i kept looking for clues as to what it might be, but we didn't catch a glimpse of a single thing. it really is exciting looking at izzy and jax and wondering who we're going to get a duplicate of... will this baby look like the other two... will it have the same disposition as the other boy or girl? so many questions and only 14 more weeks until we find out.

our first ride

we decided to take a mini vacation to branson for a few days... a much needed getaway after a busy year! we spent some time at silver dollar city, rode some go-karts, and took a ride on the ducks. jax LOVED all of the rides and did everything with daddy, he was fearless. isabel on the other hand was a gigantic chicken and sat out with me most of the time. we had a great trip!

zoo trips

we love, love, love having a FOTZ pass! we can ride all the rides including the new sky safari and boy was it neat. we rode right over the giraffes and rhinos in africa. it was a super warm day but both kids walked the entire time and didn't even complain of being tired.

shaving cream writing

isabel loves to do projects so we had a little shaving cream fun. of course writing with shaving cream led to spreading the shaving cream all of their bodies... they were covered! but, they had a great time.

the weather has been beautiful and we are making daily trips to the pool. isabel and jaxon love playing in the little "cool" but aren't so fond of the big "cool!" they have a gazillion pool toys and can splash around for hours. of course, they're constantly fighting over the toys but there is some fun involved.

we visited powell gardens to check out their dinosaur exhibit. what a blast! the weather was perfect and the kids had a great time on our very long hike around the grounds.
