we were blessed with the most perfect day for isabel's party, it was beautiful. this year was the first time that we invited isabel's friends and they had a great times. they made pascal party blowers, had rapunzel coloring sheets, and each got to leave with their own set of rapunzel paints. the party was definitely a success!

we started off our day at avenue's for brunch then headed to the american girl store so that isabel could pick out her american girl doll. she had her heart set on julie even when we tried to convince her to go with josephina ( we later had to return julie and did get josephina)... she didn't put her down the rest of the day. we ended our day at the movies watching rio. what a perfect way to celebrate.

easter weekend

we got to go to the church up the street for another easter egg hunt and there were a ton of kids there. on sunday we went to church, nana and papa's, and then to great- grandma and grandpa harness's house. we had so much fun and ate way too much candy.

this was the first year that daddy was actually home to decorate easter eggs with us... i think that he had more fun than we did! we had disney princess decor for me and jax had toy story. we both got to decorate our own eggs!

tonight was our parent watch night and we got a sneak peek at the girls dancing to "cheeseburger in paradise." they were all so adorable in their outfits!

we got to go to our very first birthday pool party for our friend addi. we got to play in the water, go down the frog slide, and eat cupcakes. we had a blast... thanks addi for inviting us!

this year our subdivision hosted an easter egg hunt. our friends kaelin and charlee came over and we rode in the wagon... we even got to meet the easter bunny before we searched for eggs! jaxon was totally in love with the easter bunny and ran right over to give him a hug. after the easter egg hunt we came back to our house and played outside. it was so much fun.

mr. handsome turns TWO!

it's my birthday

as a mom of two i cannot even count how many times i have commented on how quickly they grow up and how everything seems like it were just yesterday. it was just yesterday that i was taking that test in chicago and discovering that i was pregnant... it was just yesterday that isabel was wearing her big sister short to the july birthday celebration, it was just yesterday that the sonographer Jackie was telling us that we were having a boy, and it was just yesterday that wendy was naming our jaxon mr. handsome at the hospital. two years later here were are with this full of life little boy! such a sweet little man who is constantly making my heart melt when he's not rolling around like a rough and tumble little boy. we love you jaxon santiago... xoxo

they started out good

valentines day was especially sweet this year since we just found out that we're going to have a new baby brother or sister! this time next year, there will be 3 of us. we tried to make play dough lollipop cookies, but they didn't turn out very well.
