Family trip to Branson

Even though there are no pictures of Jax and I, we really did go too! Since Hector's sister was in town he thought it would be a good idea to go to Branson. This was Isabel's and Jaxon's first time... actually, Isabel was in Branson once before. She was a little tenny, tiny pea then and we didn't even know she was there! It's definitely difficult traveling with a toddler and an infant.

Momma's New School!

I was able to go on a tour of my new building this past week. It was so exciting to see a fresh and new space... no chipping paint, no dead bugs, no dust, all NEW! I seriously walked around the building with my mouth wide open the entire time. I am very excited to get in my classroom and start decorating! However, it's also sad to leave Southwood. Its been home to me for the past 6 years and I'm leaving friends and families I've grown to love. It's definitely bittersweet.

Opening Day at the "K"

Thank you so much to Aunt Karen for watching Isabel and Jaxon while Hector and I went to opening day! We hardly ever go on "dates" so it was much appreciated. It was a chilly day but luckily we had seats that put us right in the sun. They showed pictures of people on the screen with hats and gloves... we were burning up!

Our Sweet Izzy

In preparation for our weekend trip I went and got 2 swimsuits for Isabel... I wanted to give her a CHOICE on which one she wanted (we're doing Love and Logic with her). I put on the first swimsuit and she was indifferent... I put on the second swimsuit and she responded with "I'M CUTE!" I'm sure that we have told her she was cute a million times, but on this occasion I hadn't said anything. She then proceeded to run around the house saying "I'm cute!" It was adorable.
This morning while she was eating I told her " I love you" she looked at me and said " I'm cute!" What momma can't laugh at that.

I'm TWO months old...

I have a feeling that I took Jaxon's two month picture a couple of days too early. He is growing so fast and developing more of a personality each day. He's officially out of the newborn clothes and quickly growing out of his 3 month wardrobe... I can't believe how big he's getting. I know that big cheeks run on the Harness side of my family, but had no idea they could be this big.
He has such a sweet disposition and loves to be held. He's started smiling and cooing which makes him all the more adorable. Despite the pediatrician's comment about him not rolling over early he is already trying. He is such a strong guy and is always holding up his head and looking around.
Our little man is growing up too fast!

Happy Easter!

It's hard to believe that this was Isabel's second Easter and Jaxo's first... wow. On Saturday NaNa came over and helped us paint Easter eggs and bake cookies! We had a special visitor at our house this Easter. Hector's sister, who is a nun in Peru, came for a visit. Sunday morning I went to church alone so that Hector could visit with his sister. It was so depressing! I had to sit by myself, since my parents are in choir and orchestra, and look at all of the families around me. I am definitely never going to church alone on a holiday again. Our first stop was lunch at my parents and then on to the Ferbezar's for dinner and an Easter egg hunt. Isabel did such a good job hunting for eggs while Jaxon snoozed in his car seat. We were fortunate enough to have Hector's sister lead us in our dinner blessing in spanish.
The Easter bunny made a little stop at our house and Isabel was so excited! Next year Jaxon will get to be a part of the excitement as well!

Upcoming Dates!

Mark your calendars friends and family... Jaxon's baby dedication will be April 26th at 11:00 with lunch at our house afterwards AND Isabel's 2nd birthday party will be May 2nd and 4:00.

Fun in the Snow!

A gift from Isabel

So, we've mentioned the potty to Isabel and even put her on it a few times. Unfortunately we've only been successful once! This is a picture of what happened when we were on our way to the bath... she was so concerned about the mess.

So Cozy

This is how Jax spends most of his days... leisurely napping in someone's arms!
