violet's first thanksgiving

our little snow lady!

our eyes were bigger than our living room

once we got home hector and i realized that we perhaps went a little overboard with the tree that we chose! it's nearly as high as our ceiling and we haven't even unwrapped it yet... i'm pretty sure that we don't have enough lights or christmas ornaments to decorate it.

bass pro shop and santa claus

after our movie we headed over to the bass pro shop to see santa claus and to walk around. jax had a blast getting on the 4 wheelers and isabel enjoyed riding around on a stick pony.

violet's first movie

our new family of 5 ventured out to the movie theatre today to see "happy feet 2"! the movie was absolutely adorable, I loved all of the music and singing. the highlight of the movie was definitely when violet threw up all over me and on her cute outfit. yuck.

taquitos and mermaids

hector is most definitely the fun parent that plays with the kids... i'm the boring one that tells them to "follow directions the first time." tonight daddy was tying them up with the belts from our robes, rolling them into taquitos, and my very favorite turning max into a mermaid.

choo, choo fun

while isabel was at school jax was playing with his train in our bed. the cute part of it was that as he was moving the train he was saying: izzy loca, violet loca, mommy loca, daddy loco. loco means crazy... so funny!

a potty and a book!

i walked into Jax's bathroom and this is what i found! is this just a thing that boy's are born knowing how to do?

flowers from my grandparents

my grandparents sent a gorgeous fall bouquet to hector in honor of his father. my grandma was so thoughtful and wanted to send the flowers to mexico, but we didn't realize that the funeral would be the very next day. thank you grandma, i know that hector appreciated them.

hanging the stockings

this year the kids each got to hang their own stockings, it was so adorable. we all have matching stockings, with the exception of hector, who absolutely does not want a new stocking! i can't believe that we have 5 stockings hanging in front of the fireplace this year.

getting out the ornaments

the kids and i started getting out the ornaments today. we were able to put up the garland and even decorate the mantle. i love spreading the holiday cheer in the house and snuggling up in front of the fireplace.

playdough and pumpkin chocolate chip bread

i made my very first batch of chocolate chip pumpkin bread while isabel and jaxon baked their own play dough cookies. they were darling! they rolled out the play dough, used cookie cutters, and then would walk them over and set them atop the oven.

3 sleeping babes

i had my first evening away from violet and this is what i found when i came home...
