We're Finally Packed!

Hector and I wanted to have the van loaded last night so that we could leave as soon as we got home... I just finished packing this morning. So, everything is sitting by the door ready to go. Isabel has a carry on packed with about every piece of clothing she owns! I think that we both want her to look as cute as can be when she meets her grandparents for the first time. For some reason, as I'm writing this the tears are starting to come. I think that I'm overwhelmed by the idea that she is finally going to meet the rest of her family and I am so thankful that we are able to make this trip. It is also a mix of fear as it feels as if this is the first time I'm meeting my in-laws! On that final note... MERRY CHRISTMAS! Our next post will be in 2008!

I'm Ready To Go...

I finally started packing over the weekend, but sadly didn't get very far. I've got the majority of Izzy's clothes packed but have nothing of my own! BUT, I do have my packing list complete... maybe I'll be ready by Thursday.

These Presents Are For Me... No Way Jose!!

Since we will be in Mexico for Christmas Isabel got an early Christmas here at home. Thank you so much to our family who celebrated Christmas early... Isabel loved it!

The Countdown Has Begun...

We have officially started counting down the days until we leave for Mexico. Hector and I sat down yesterday and made a list of everything we need to pack for Isabel. Traveling to Colorado when she was 2 months old is nothing compared to this... she has so much more "stuff" now. We've been talking about this trip for so long, it's hard to imagine that it's next week. I'll post some pics of the packing process next week. Please keep our family in your prayers as we head south of the border next week.

Lovin Time For Mommy!

Mommy's nose looked so delicious that I tried to eat it! Apparently mom didn't like that so well with my teeth and all. I decided to make up for it by cuddling with her though. Don't get me wrong, I love my mommy. But, I really am a daddy's girl!

Rub-A-Dub-Dub

I've always loved taking baths, but it just keeps getting better! I sit up in the tub now and I've even tried standing. I love all my toys and put everything in my mouth. I can't wait for mom and dad to fill the entire tub up!

Snowy Day...

I was so lucky that daddy got to stay home with me so that I could see my first snow! It was the craziest thing... there was all of this white stuff falling all around me. I have to admit it was pretty cool. I was hoping that maybe it would snow on my first Christmas, but mommy says it won't be snowing in Mexico!

All I Want For Christmas Is My Two Front Teeth...

My Christmas wish came a little early... I officially have 2 front bottom teeth! I was trying to chew on mom's finger today and she screamed. Apparently my little teeth are sharp.

Icky...

Isabel has not been feeling well lately, so we decided to take her to the doctor. Turns out that she has a double ear infection. In the past month she has gotten 2 teeth, had a cold, 2 ear infections, and a secondary eye infection. I feel so terrible for her... she looked so sick. Please keep Isabel in your prayers.

Look At Me... I'm Standing!

I told you I could do it. How about this new smile of mine? I like to make my eyes squinty and smile real big. What can I say, I'm my father's daughter.

7 Months Old Today!

I've been doing some new things just in the past month! I'm now a master crawler and mommy says that I gravitate towards everything I shouldn't! I also have a new favorite past time when I'm hanging out in my crib... I stand up! I was getting really tired of seeing everything in my room through those bars so I decided to just pull myself up and look over the top of the crib. I have been teething, had a cold, and an ear infection all in the past month. It's kind of been miserable.
Mommy and daddy keep talking about this thing called "Christmas." They say I might get some presents from Santa, but the most important part of the holiday is celebrating Jesus' birth.
Mommy and daddy have also been talking about this place called Mexico. From what I understand that's where my daddy is from and some of his family is still there. Mommy, daddy, NaNa and I are going there for Christmas. I'm sorry that I won't be with my friends and family here in the US... BUT, I'm going to meet my abuela and abuelo for the first time. How exciting is that!! I hope that they like me. Perhaps I can win them over with my spanish babble or maybe my one toothed grin!

FELIZ NAVIDAD!

Mommy and Me...

I think I love Saturdays... that's when mommy stays home with me.

My Uncle Zachary and Aunt Marie

I finally got to meet my Uncle Zachary and Aunt Marie... I really liked Marie. Don't get me wrong, I liked my Uncle too! Thanks for coming to visit me and I can't wait to meet your kids!

My Second Cousin Pake

Unfortunately I couldn't meet Pake becasue I wasn't feeling good... but here's my mommy with him and his daddy. Come to think of it, I don't know if I've even met Pake's daddy Zack.
