Christmas Break Adventures

we had a couple of fun excursions over christmas break including dave and busters and sky zone. i'd have to say that sky zone was my have, even hector was doing flips! the mini's also got to celebrate an "unbirthday" at the disney store thanks to cousin emily!

mommy and daddy went on a little KC adventure and tried a yummy sandwich shop called Pigwich… delish.

NYE 2014

we had a lovely NYE at home with nana and papa and the buso family. daddy made an amazing dinner and the mini's had a great time with their countdown bags.

Countdown to Christmas Activities

each year we put together activities to add to the magic of christmas as we countdown to december 25th. our new additions this year were ice skating, retro movie night, and "you've been jingled" bags. the mini's absolutely loved driving around town and "jingling" their friends… so much fun. here's a few of the other things we did!

The Santa Train

each year we head down to union station to see the magic of christmas and the santa train. this year we chose to go in the evening and it was PACKED! as we waited in line i wondered how many more years our children would feel the magic of the santa train, had our time of santa and elves come to an end yet? nevertheless, we all enjoyed walking through the train and spotting decorations that we had yet to see. i suppose that the magic of christmas is kept alive as long as you want it to be. but, it's up to you.

Retro Night at the Movies

one of our activities on our Christmas Advent Calendar was to go see "White Christmas" at the movie theatre. we made a total outing of it and took nana, aunt jackie, uncle mark, austin, and jordan. the mini's made it through about half of the movie before all 3 were sound asleep. isabel and violet are still pretending to be the "Haynes Sisters" and creating shows… presh.

Christmas Recital 2014

each year the gals' dance studio has an impromptu christmas recital. both gals did a super job dancing with their classes and showing off their mad dance skills. the best part of the night was when isabel danced off the stage about 30 seconds too soon, it was hysterical!
