the littles had a fab snow day... working with their tools, decorating a cardboard box, and snow ice cream!

daddy got to stay home for our thursday snow day but had to head to work on friday. i'm still wondering if he will make it!

Sibling Love!

Happy 4th Birthday Mr. Handsome!

i know that every mom says this on every birthday... but, the past four years have simply flown by. our jax is such a sweet little man. the mom's who read this will totally understand what i'm about to say. there's just something about each of my children. something that sets them apart from the other's and that carves out a special place in your heart... a trait that is so endearing that you just want to swoop them up and cover them in kisses.

i think that perhaps jaxon reminds me of my grandpa. simply put, my grandpa had a warm spirit. from the moment i met jaxon i felt that same warm spirit radiate from his little body. he's the son that tells me he"wuvs" me at least 5 times a day and i adore it. he's the brother that let's his little sister ride him like a pony. he's the little brother who cuddles up next to his big sis to watch a movie. we love you jaxon.

my hope for you jax is that one day you "wuv" your wife as much as you love your momma and your sisters. in the meantime, i'll take all of the hugs and kisses that i can get!

ahoy matey... take 2!

this afternoon we celebrated mr. handsome's 4th birthday with our family. we are so blessed to have such a wonderful family... we appreciate each of you! our friend andy made this adorable pirate cake... it was exactly what jaxon wanted.

our valentine's dinner

the little's and i had a fab valentine's dinner. we dined on heart shaped cheese ravioli with pink alfredo sauce, breadsticks, and salad. we topped it all off with some delicious smallcakes cupcakes... delish!
i had much grander plans for our romantic dinner but with conferences 2 nights this week and the start of bootcamp things just didn't work out the way i had planned. the little's commented on how i never fix them a special dinner and how much they loved it. i think that there were good memories made by all.

our last valentine's gift

we had a lot of fun crafty valentine's goodies this year... so much fun that i didn't even get to do my valentine's day baking. sigh. our last gifts were these cute candy dipped peeps in a valentine's bucket. my only disappointment was that when i tore apart the peeps they looked like i took a bit out of the side. overall these turned out adorable. i hope that you all enjoyed valentine's as much as the lopez little's did.

we had a lot of fun making our first valentine's box this year and isabel even chose her own design. i have to admit, i tried to get her to choose a castle or a cake but she was sold on the iPod. i suppose that it is her box after all.

isabel also picked out her own valentine's this year... she even signed all of her cards herself.
