Mom to Mom...
I had 9 glorious days off from school and spent each one with Isabel. In the past I have never had any issues with going back to work after several days off. I found myself Saturday growing very anxious about returning to work... I didn't want to leave Isabel. This is something I haven't really felt since that first day at the sitter. I woke up Monday morning and I just couldn't do it... I couldn't bring myself to leave her... I stayed home. It seems with each passing day I fall more and more in love with my daughter. Each day, I care a little less about having the "nice stuff" and a little more about those hugs she's started to give me.
Baking Cookies and Decorating Easter Eggs!
I've been trying so hard to start "traditions" for our little family. So for Easter we baked the cookies and dyed eggs! So maybe I baked the cookies while Isabel played with cooking materials and Hector was at work. I had intended on having the cookies and eggs ready so that we could do the fun stuff as a family. Unfortunately it ended up taking us several hours to find the missing pieces to Isabel's Easter outfit... so I got to do everything Easter morning before church. at least Isabel was in the kitchen with me!

My First St. Patrick's Day...
A Playdate With Tyson... The Dog!
Makin Music...
Hector and I finally let Isabel play with some pans in the kitchen. People have been asking me for ages if she was playing with the pots and pans yet. Here's the truth... I've been paranoid that the kitchen floor would be dirty, so I very rarely let her crawl in the kitchen. Those of you who have been to our house know that we keep it pretty clean, I think I have some OCD tendencies! So, I think Isabel was in heaven!

Just Being Silly...
Isabel and I were playing while we waited for daddy to come home. I started making funny faces with my hands and when I stopped she would put my hands back to my face. I've said this before... I'm convinced that our Isabel is a genius!!
Lunch With The Fam...
My second cousin Austin is preparing to report back to Camp Lagune (I know this spelling is incorrect)so we got together for a lunch. I got to see my aunt, 2 of my uncles, most of my cousins, great- grandma and grandpa, and grandma and grandpa Harness. I had such a good crawling all around and trying to touch all of the "pretties!" Good luck Austin... you will be in my nightly prayers.
My Cousin Jacob's Birthday Party...
My busy weekend started with my cousin Jacob's 2nd birthday. I tried to play with his toys, but he didn't like that very well. I was a little confused because I share with other kids all day long. But, I guess he does spend all day with our NaNa and not with other kids. My PaPa snuck me a little piece of ice cream... it was deelish!

I'm 10 Months Old Already!
Where has the past 10 months gone? I ask myself that every time I look at Isabel. She has changed so much since we brought her home from the hospital and is developing such a personality! Some new things she can do... She waves and says hi and took one teeny, tiny step by herself! I truly thought that she would be walking by now, but she's not quite there! She's been eating grown up food lately and likes virtually everything. Her favorites are rice and yogurt! I think that perhaps she is going through a "clingy"stage becasue she really doesn't like to be left alone. We've been calling Isabel "Vampira" lately becasue the teeth to the left and right of her top two front teeth are totally out... but, the 2 front teeth have broken through as well. She officially has 6 teeth!!
Yummy Pancakes!
"Chick Out" What The Easter Bunny Already Brought Me...
So, we've been thinking about decorating Isabel's bathroom for quite some time now. We wanted to make sure that we chose something that would be gender friendly for the next 3 Lopez kids... so, we went with penguins! Now, Hector normally tells me to buy a couple of things at a time or lets wait. This time he was teeling me to buy everything... it was great! We already made a trip to Home Depot and Hector is in the process of taping the bathroom so that we can paint.
Watch Me Slide!
It was such a beautiful day and we decided to take Isabel to the park. It was extremely windy, but I think she loved it!
