Henry Doorly Zoo

We had heard amazing things about the Omaha Zoo so decided to take a little visit. We left on a Wednesday evening so that we could get up early and go to the zoo... plans are made to be broken aren't they! We woke up to the hotel's fire alarm at 4 am and it continued to go off until 5. Thankfully there was no fire but everyone was wide awake! At this point Hector discovered Isabel was running a fever and had to go and get tylenol for her. Finally we were all back asleep only to have housekeeping show up at our door at 8am... seriously!

While I was at the front desk complaining about the early morning wake up Hector went to start the jeep. What do you know, the battery was dead. We went to breakfast and they forgot to put in our order which resulted in a 30 minute wait. and again, the jeep wouldn't start. We finally made it to the zoo, which was amazing. It really puts our zoo to shame. Of course when we made it to the parking lot and we trying to leave the jeep wouldn't start! Luckily we made it home after stopping at 4 different automotive shops... none of them had the right battery!
