christmas in colorado part 1

in the almost 11 years that hector and i have been together he has only been able to spend one christmas with his family. he was fortunate enough this year to be able to use his vacation time over my winter break and we though that it would be the perfect time to visit colorado and spend christmas with one of his brother's and sister's.

let me just say that flying with 3 small children is an adventure in itself... especially when in addition to all of your luggage you have 2 car seats, 1 booster seat, and 1 stroller. WHEW! hector some how went through a different security checkpoint at the gate and i was lucky enough to go through with the 3 littles and the stroller all by my lonesome. this time they even made me fold the stroller and plop it up on the conveyor belt... a little challenging while trying to hold violet. the littles were absolutely f-a-b-u-l-o-u-s through it all and even did well when we our flight was delayed for an hour and we had to change planes!
we finally arrived in denver

we spent a leisurely christmas eve afternoon at hector's brother's house. in the evening the little's sprinkled their reindeer food on the lawn, plated a few games of christmas bingo,  read "twas the night before christmas, ate pozole and tamales, and then we went on a tour of denver to see some christmas lights.
