christmas in colorado part 2

i think that this was the most relaxing, low key christmas that i have had in years! the littles opened gifts, played, and watched christmas movies all day. and, we got  to wake up to snow!

 opening gifts

the day after christmas we took a beautiful day trip to breckenridge. we had initially planned to go to winter park but when hector missed the exit we just kept driving... it's not often that i don't have a plan for our destination! it was nice to just sit back and see where the road took us. breckenridge was absolutely charming. we had lunch at a saloon that had been there since the 1800's and then strolled down main street to a crepe shack. it was literally a shack... i stood in line for at least 30 minutes waiting for the most delectable crepe i have ever had. ok, so i've never even had a crepe! i had an idyllic moment with my little family... we sat in this little courtyard next to a fire pit and ate crepes while the snow was falling. that's a christmas memory that i will treasure, it was a simply divine moment.
