The Partaaayyyy!

we had a lovely zebra minnie mouse party this afternoon despite the weather. the kids started the afternoon decorating mickey cookies, played a little "pin the bow" on minnie mouse,  killed the piñata, end enjoyed some delicious cake.

this was the first year that we didn't invite extended family or family friends. at what age do you quit inviting everyone to their parties? i like that it was small and intimate, but it did feel a little strange to not have the usual crowd. this was also my first experience with parents dropping off their kids and leaving... how did my kid get old enough for this to be common practice, yikes!

i am so blessed to have been chosen to be isabel's mom. she has becoming a curious, loving child. she's strong- willed, stubborn, and isn't afraid to tell you like it is. while these traits can sometimes be exasperating for momma i know that one day they will serve her well. isabel grace, the day you were born you taught me how to love someone more than i loved myself... you'll always be my sweet cheeks.
