dr. seuss's birthday

thank goodness for the kindergarten team at my school... they totally reminded me of "read across america day!" of course, i head to head over to interest and see what kind of snack i could send with isabel for kindergarten friends. i found these adorable lorax cupcakes that seemed to be very easy. all i needed was store bought cupcakes with green icing ( no prob, it's almost st. patty's day), pretzel rods (have those in the pantry), and cotton candy (a wal-mart find). easy? not so much! i had to call 3 stores before i could find the cupcakes and even then i still had a dozen with yellow icing. and, when i woke up the next morning the cotton candy on the cupcakes was funky and i had to re-do all 32 cupcakes!
